The National Herald
As the sister publication of Ethnikos Kyrix, now almost a century old and the only daily Greek language publication in North America, The National Herald (TNH) was founded in 1997 in response to popular demand: to meet the needs of emerging generations of Greek-Americans whose primary language is English.
Readers want to know what is going on in the Greek-American community and Hellenic diaspora, as well as in Greece and Cyprus – and they want their news in the English language.
The National Herald is a direct response to this need. It presents news, opinions, and feature stories of paramount interest to Greek-Americans.
Published weekly for Saturday home delivery in the New York Metropolitan area and via the post office throughout the United States, TNH has grown by leaps and bounds and is the leading English language newspaper serving Greeks throughout North America.
Besides the print edition, TNH’s website (and its Greek language version www.ekirikas.com) receives thousands of subscriptions annually from all around the country and the world. It is the Greek paper of record in North America, and intends to be recognized as the Greek website of record as well.
Its website, provides a dual benefit to our readers: 1) the opportunity to read TNH from anywhere in the world, and 2) access to breaking news, provocative opinions, new recipes, travel tips, and many other features every day.
