The Nest is the bestselling debut novel by Cynthia D'Aprix Sweeney, published in 2016.
After being released on March 22, 2016, the book debuted on the New York Times best seller list at #3 on the Hardcover Fiction list for April 10, 2016, and rose to #2 the following week, when it also debuted at #3 on the combined print and e-book list.[1][2]
Reception
Though the book is Sweeney's first novel, she received a seven-figure advance.[3] Upon release the book had received positive reviews, generally confirming the pre-release buzz around the book.[4][5][6][7][8]
Plot
The four siblings of the Plumb family are set to come into their long-awaited inheritance when the youngest turns 40, but one sibling's reckless actions damage the "nest".[5]
