Plot
Living in a secret kingdom full of mythical creatures and magical beings sounds pretty cool, right? Well, Fairy Princess Astral is more interested in living with humans, where kids her age are in a world of their own known as high school.
Astral has always fantasized about living with humans and now's her chance! Leaving her home in the Fairy Kingdom of Athenia means she'll have to keep her identity a secret at all costs. Posing as an exchange student, she's determined to experience what life is like for a normal high school student, but she's got a lot to learn first. It's a whole new world for Astral and she'll soon find out that fitting in is hard, especially if you're a fairy!
Cast and characters
Main cast
- Esther Zynn as Princess Astral , a headstrong, impulsive and endlessly curious fairy princess who is absolutely fascinated by humans. Posing as an exchange student at high school, she has one shot to see what life is like on the other side. She’s excited to finally have a real, human girl experience. But she’ll have to hide her fairy powers and lay low if she wants to keep her identity a secret.
- Callan Potter as Tristan, a charming, athletic, kind student and Astrals love interest. He’s one of the main reasons Astral wants to find out what it’s like to live as a normal human teenager. Astral believes they are meant to be together.
- Josette Halpert as Hailey, an excellent and school-involved student. Her goal is to be the most powerful student in school and she wants Tristan by her side on her climb to the top. Ruthless and ambitious, she’ll do whatever it takes to make sure nothing gets in the way of her plans. She thinks there is something strange about Astral and is determined to figure it out.
- Celina Martin as Morgan, a kind, but self-esteem lacking girl. She is the only one in school who knows about Astral's past and powers. Their shared love of all things fairy-related means Morgan and Astral have lots in common but also spells trouble for Astral’s secret. Morgan has a crush on Devon but refuses to admit it.
- Taylor Adams as Devon, a boy who thought the new exchange student staying with him would be a normal teenager, just like him. Shy, slightly geeky and a little awkward when it comes to—well, everything, all Devon wants is to fly under the radar and go unnoticed in high school. Although Astral believes otherwise.
- Adam Peddle as Brendoni (human form), astral's cousin who was sent in the human world by his aunt and uncle to teach him empathy.
Recurring cast
- Tori Anderson as Queen Titania, Astral's mother and one of the rulers of Athenia.
- Martin Roach as King Oberon, Astral's father and one of the rulers of Athenia.
- C.J. Byrd-Vassell as Winston, a foreign exchange student from England (the one supposed to stay with Devon) who stays in Athenia while Astral is in the human world.
- Torri Webster as PeaseBlossom
- Jeff Douglas as Oswald, a knight who watches over Astral while she is the human world. When he is in the human world, he is only 7 inches tall.
- Matt Burns as Brendoni, an ogre who is also Astral's cousin and next in line to rule Athenia if Astral decides to stay in the human world.
