The Ottoman Empire was an American Progressive Metal band based in Madison, Wisconsin.
The band was formed in 2002, and in 2002 they self released their first demo album, Twice. In 2004 they self released their first EP, Curse of the Sun. In 2006 they self released their first full length album, Way of the Blade, and in 2008 they self released their second EP, The Answer: Does Not Exist. In 2008 the band changed their name too Luna Mortis, and they released one more full length album, The Absence, through Century Media.
