The Palmdale Aerospace Academy (TPAA) is located in Palmdale, California and is part of Palmdale School District. The charter school opened its doors to 540 students, from grades seventh through ninth, on September 5, 2012. Each year the TPAA will keep adding a grade level until it reaches 12th grade. Afterwards the school will add kindergarten through sixth grade.
School Mission
TPAA has partnered with aerospace industry employers, the City of Palmdale, the Palmdale School District and others to help their students thrive in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). TPAA prepares students for careers and college through challenging and academic hands-on activities with collaborative learning.
Vision
The Palmdale Aerospace Academy's main ideas are related to real-life applications in the subject of aerospace by offering TPAA’s students classes in the field of robotics along with career internships opportunities, as well as guest speakers and more.
