The Playhouse, Colchester

The Playhouse is a former theatre in Colchester, Essex, that has been a Wetherspoon's pub since 1994.

It was built in 1929, and the architect was John Fairweather.[1]

It closed in August 1981, and reopened as a bingo hall in September 1981, before closing in 1983, and after conversion, opening as a pub in 1994.
