The Projectionist is a 1971 film written and directed by Harry Hurwitz. It featured the film debut of Rodney Dangerfield.[1] The film employs the use of superimposition of older films, the first time such techniques were used.[2]

Plot

A film projectionist (Chuck McCann) who is bored with his everyday life starts fantasizing about his being one of the superheroes (Captain Flash) he sees in the films he shows. He also imagines that the theater owner named Renaldi (Rodney Dangerfield) is a villain known as The Bat.
