The Real Housewives of Cheshire (abbreviated RHOCheshire) is a British reality television series broadcast on ITVBe which premiered on 12 January 2015. The show is based on The Real Housewives, an American television franchise.[1] The Real Housewives of Cheshire documents the lives of several affluent housewives who reside in Cheshire and Greater Manchester.[2] The show was subsequently renewed for a second season which commenced on 7 September 2015.[3] On 4 March 2016, The Real Housewives of Cheshire was renewed for a third series which commenced on 4 April 2016. [4]
Overview and casting
On 22 September 2014, ITVBe announced the cast for Britain's first housewives instalment The Real Housewives of Cheshire. Starring Ampika Pickston, Dawn Ward, Lauren Simon, Leanne Brown, Magali Gorré and Tanya Bardsley. The series follows the casts' intertwining and fast lives in the rich communities of Cheshire and Greater Manchester.[5]On 27 April 2015, it was announced that a second series has been commissioned, with filming to begin in May 2015 and airing from 7 September 2015.[6] It was also confirmed, all the main housewives were returning and also Chantelle Heskey joining the cast in a recurring role.
On 1 March 2016 it was announced that Gorré would be departing the series, although a return in future hasn’t been ruled out. [7] On 4 March 2016 ITVBe announced that Ward, Simon, Pickston, Brown and Bardsley would be returning for a third series along with three new wives, Missé Beqiri, Seema Malhotra and Stacey Forsey. [8] On 25 April it was also confirmed by cast member Tanya Bardsley on Twitter, that the third series would have a reunion show. [9]

In Australia, the series premiered on Arena on 24 May 2015.[10] In the United States, the series debuted on 14 November 2015, on Bravo, the same network that initiated the The Real Housewives franchise.[11]
