The Special Consensus is a four-person acoustic bluegrass group led by banjoist Greg Cahill based in Chicago[1] that has been in operation since 1975.[2] The group was nominated for a Grammy in 2013 for the "Best Bluegrass Album" category for Scratch Gravel Road.[3] The group currently consists of Greg Cahill (banjo), Nick Dumas (mandolin), Dan Eubanks (upright bass), and Rick Faris (guitar).[4]
