The Thief and the Fallen is the eighth studio album by underground Philadelphia hip hop duo Jedi Mind Tricks. It is the first Jedi Mind Tricks album in seven years produced by founding member Stoupe the Enemy of Mankind and four years since their last album Violence Begets Violence. Former member Jus Allah (who rejoined the group in 2006) left again in 2013, making this the first Jedi Mind Tricks album without him since their fifth album, Servants in Heaven, Kings in Hell.[4]
Background
Vinnie Paz's lyrics on were partly inspired by the written works of Clive Barker.[5]
The album cover was designed by Andrew Haines, intended to be unlike other Hip Hop albums.[6]

All songs are produced solely by Stoupe the Enemy of Mankind except for tracks #2 and #14, which were co-produced by C-Lance.
Tracks #2-#5 and #7, #9, #10, #12, #14, and #16 were co-produced by Z. Gillespie and Ish Quintero.
