The second season of the Indonesian reality talent show The Voice premiered on February 26, 2016 on RCTI.^[1] This is the first season of The Voice Indonesia that is being aired by RCTI, where the previous broadcaster Indosiar dropped the show after just one season due to poor ratings.^[2] Television personality and Indonesian Idol host Daniel Mananta is appointed as the show's new host.^[3] Ari Lasso, Agnez Mo, Kaka "Slank", and Judika are appointed as the coaches.^[4]^[5] Ariel "Noah" served as an advisor for all teams during the knockouts.^[6] The winner of which receives a 1 billion rupiahs recording contract with Universal Music Indonesia.

Format

The series consists of four phases:

The Blind Auditions

Four judges/coaches, all famous musicians, will choose teams of contestants through a blind audition process. Each judge has the length of the contestants' performance to decide if he or she wants that singer on his or her team; if two or more judges want the same singer then the singer gets to choose which coach they want to work with.

Battle round

Each team of singers will be mentored and developed by their coach. In the second stage, coaches will have two of their team members battle against each other by singing the same song, with the coach choosing which team member will advance to the next stage. For this season, the contestant who lose the battle can be stolen by other coach. If the coach stealing more than one, the contestant can be able to choose the coach that contestant want and advance to next round.

Knockout round

Seems like battle round, Each team of singers will be mentored and developed by their coach. In the second stage, coaches will have two of their team members battle against each other by singing the same song, with the coach choosing which team member will advance to the next stage. But in this round, the coach can't steal the contestant who lose in this round and the contestant automatically eliminated.

Live performance shows

In the final phase, the remaining contestants will compete against each other in live broadcasts. The television audience will help to decide who moves on. When one team member remains for each coach, the contestants will compete against each other in the finale. ^[7]
