The Washington Quarterly, often abbreviated TWQ, is a journal of international affairs, analyzing global strategic changes and their public policy implications, hosted by the Elliott School of International Affairs at the George Washington University and published by Taylor & Francis. Prior to the Spring 2014 issue, the journal was published by the Center for Strategic and International Studies and Routledge.[1] It addresses topics such as: the U.S. role in the world, the emerging great powers, missile defenses and weapons of mass destruction, global perspectives to reduce terrorism, regional issues and flash points, the implications of global political change, views from the U.S. Congress. Essays are written for the international affairs generalist. TWQ has subscribers in more than 50 countries.
Contributors are drawn from outside as well as inside the United States and reflect diverse political, regional, and professional perspectives. Policymakers in the executive and legislative branches and members of the academic, corporate, and media communities use TWQ as a source of information on international affairs.
TWQ publishes four issues a year in January, April, July and October.
