Awards Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross

Theodor Freiherr von Wrede[a] (November 3, 1888 – March 30, 1973) was a highly decorated Generalleutnant in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Theodor Freiherr von Wrede retired from active service in 1944.
