Thiagarajar School of Management

The Thiagarajar School of Management (also known as TSM-Madurai) is a B-School in Madurai, India.

It was established in 1962 by the doyen of the South Indian textile industry, Mr. Kalaithanthai Thiru Karumuttu Thiagarajar Chettiar.

The school offers AICTE approved and NBA accredited full-time MBA and PGDM.

It is an autonomous institute. This college has been a premier institute of Management Education since its inception.[1]

History

TSM-Madurai was the first of its kind institution in the southern part of Tamil Nadu. The then Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru inaugurated the building as well as the adjoining hostel accommodation of this institute. The motto of this college is "Learn to learn"
TSM initially offered only Executive Development courses till the year 1971. MBA courses were offered here in part time from 1972. Full time MBA courses were offered here only from the year 1986.[2]

The notable events in TSM includes but not limited to:

1) Antarprerana - The Entrepreneurship Summit of TSM

2) Arete - The HR Summit of TSM

3) Reflexions - The Alumni Meet of TSM conducted in Bangalore,Chennai and Madurai

4) Yukti - The National Management Festival of TSM

It also conducts frequent seminars and workshops for its students
