Thakur (Indian title)
Thakur is a feudal title used by various communities in India and Nepal.
Usage
Thakur[1] and thākura are the words derived from the Sanskrit word thakkura meaning "administrator" or jamindaar.[2] It is used as a term of respect meaning "chief", "lord", or "master".[3]
