Third World Quarterly is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by Routledge. The journal was established in 1979. As of 2011, the editor-in-chief is Shahid Qadir. It was published eight times per year until 2011, when publication increased to ten times per year.[1] It is now published monthly.[2]
According to the Journal Citation Reports, the journal has a 2013 impact factor of 0.750, ranking it 33rd out of 55 journals in the category "Planning and Development".[3]
