Thirumalai Thenkumari is a 1970 Tamil Hindu religion road movie was directed by A. P. Nagarajan and produced by "Sri Vijayalakshmi Pictures. The film scripted was written by A. P. Nagarajan. Music by Kunnakudi Vaidyanathan assets to the movie. Starring Sivakumar , Kumari Padmini, Rama Prabha , Manorama , Sirkazhi Govindarajan and Suruli Rajan.[1][2]

Plot

The movie plot is ten or twoleve family are goes to pilgrimage from Thirumalai(Tirupathi) to Thenkumari(Kanniyakumari). Muniyyamma(Manorama) and Mannaru(Suruli Rajan) they slum area couple. Saroja(Rama Prabha) and her family as Telugu. Sailasri and her family as Kannada. They college students Sekar(Sivakumar) and Geetha(Kumari Padmini) and another couple as Lalitha(A. Sakunthala) and her lover, who travel the same bus. Raghavan(Sirkazhi Govindarajan) and his daughter also come, raghavan is Tamil musician and Sirkazhi Govindarajan sing song by himself to the temples. And one Malayali family also travel the pilgrimage to bus. and the Young couple Mohan(Sasikumar) and his wife sundari. and the Brahmin family V. Goplakrishnan and his wife and children and another is Gandhimathi and who travel her Grandson Master Prabhakar. They Passengers are goes to Tirupati , Mysore, Chamundeshwari Temple Brindavan Gardens , Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple , Thiruthani Murugan Temple Guruvayur Temple and finally the pilgrimage end into Kanniyakumari. They goes to temples are said to the history of temple and rule of temples.Sekar(Sivakumar) and Geetha(Kumari Padmini) was loves in our college days, but sekhar father was opposed to his son sekhar love, so sekhar write letter and leaves his home and join the pilgrimage, he many time requesting for geetha for our marriage proposal, but geetha was strictly said to sekhar our marriage was gets to sekhar father permission now. The end of the story sekhar and the co-passenger set some sensitive drama like sekhar commit suicide, the same time sekhar father was advertise newspaper for agree sekhar marriage. Then, who travel the passengers are arranged for sekahar and geetha another lalitha and Vasu marriage at Kanniyakumari temple.
