Thomas Degasperi (born 18 January 1981) is one of the best water skiers ever in the history of this sport .competitive water skier[1] since 2001 who once competed for the University of Louisiana at Monroe.[2] He is a former 2 times world champion at slalom.[3] He had also been selected for Ballando con le Stelle (series 8). Born in Trento, Italy, he started water-skiing at age five. He was encouraged by his father, Marco Degasperi, a well-known water-skiing coach and practiced at his father's ski school on Caldonazzo Lake in northern Italy.[4] At 15 he won his first medal at the European Championships: Gold in the slalom.
