Thomas Suther

Thomas George Spink Suther (1814–1883)[1] was the Scottish Episcopalian bishop of Aberdeen from 1857–1865 and bishop of Aberdeen and Orkney from 1865 to 1883.[2]

Suther was born in Edinburgh, educated at King's College, Windsor and ordained in 1837.[3] After curacies in Edinburgh and Leith[4] he came to St Andrew's Cathedral, Aberdeen in 1841. A combative figure he died at San Remo on 23 January 1883.[5]
