Thomas van Rhee (1634–1701) was a Dutch colonial administrator who was born in Wijk bij Duurstede. In 1659 he arrived in Batavia. From 1674 till 1678 he worked in Negapatnam. He was appointed on 19 June 1693 and held the post of Governor of Dutch Ceylon until 29 January 1695, when he became council of India. He was succeeded by Paulus van Rhoo.[1]
