Throne Records

Throne Records is an independent record label of extreme metal located in Gijón, Asturias, Spain. It was created in 2002 by Uge, after the dissolution of its previous hardcore/punk label. Throne Records specializes in varieties of extreme music: grindcore, crust punk, sludge metal, doom metal, stoner rock, hardcore punk or punk rock.

Throne Records has always shown a special interest in vinyl. It has published LP editions of many previously only available disks in CD, and at present works with licenses, to publish albums of bands like High on Fire, Cathedral, Hermano or Alabama Thunderpussy. The designs of the folders are specially cared for, and each LP has a small thrown in coloured vinyl for collectors.

Throne Fest

In 2005, the label organized an even known as Throne Fest Avilés (Asturias). Initially it was going to celebrated in November, in a single day, with High on Fire as the headliner. Sadly, the band canceled their appearance, and the festival was rescheduled to December, in two consecutive days. On December 2, Submerge and MG-15 performed, followed by Looking For Go Answer, Moho, Possession and Machetazo on December 3.
