Tieta do Agreste (Portuguese: Tieta do Agreste) is a 1996 Brazilian comedy film directed by Carlos Diegues.[1][2] The film was selected as the Brazilian entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 69th Academy Awards, but was not accepted as a nominee.[3][4]
