Timeline of 11th-century conversion of Hindu clans to Islam
Meo- Like most Indian Muslims, the Meos were originally Hindu; when and how their conversion to Islam came about is unclear. It seems probable they were converted in stages: first by Salar Masud in the eleventh century, by Balban in the thirteenth century, and then during Aurangzeb's rule in the seventeenth century.
Jarral- After the battle for Kalanaur in 1187, the Jarrals were eventually defeated and the Jarral King, Raja Saheb Shena was brought before the court of Mohammed of Ghor. Ghori invited Raja Saheb Shena to become a Muslim.
