Timothy Ravinder is the Bishop of Coimbatore Diocese of Church of South India.[1]
Early Years
Timothy Ravinder was born in 1958 to S.Timothy and Emily Jane and was brought up in Ketti - a small village in the beautifully situated valley, South of Ooty, The Nilgiris, South India.He had completed his primary education from The Laidlaw Memorial School of St. George's Homes, Ketti.He had taken the Pre University Course from Kongunadu Arts and Science College, Coimbatore.He has taken graduate course B.Sc. Physics from University of Madras.From Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya he had taken B.D, United Theological College, Bangalore, India (1991 to 1996).Timothy Ravinder is married to Hemalatha. He has two children named T. Kari who is a Research Associate at the Ruhr University,Germany, and Ajith V.Stephen Creative Director at L. A. Digital, Dubai, U.A.E.
Bishopric
Timothy Ravinder was selected as the Bishop of Diocese of Coimbatore of the Church of South India on 25 September 2013. He was ordained as the 6th bishop of Diocese of Coimbatore of the Church of South India on 28 September 2013 by Rev Devakadasham, Moderator, Church of South India.[2]
