Tinpan Orange are a roots/indie band from Melbourne, Australia. Their debut album, Aroona Palace features Harry Angus and Ollie McGill of The Cat Empire.[1] Their second album, Death, Love & Buildings features Renee Geyer.[2] Harry Angus often accompanies the band in live shows,[3] playing trumpet and keyboard.[4] He also produced their third album, The Bottom of the Lake.[5]
In 2012, lead vocalist Emily Lubitz provided the vocals for Dumb Ways to Die, a public service announcement campaign by Metro Trains Melbourne that quickly became a viral internet hit.[6]
