Tlyarata is a rural locality (a selo) and the administrative center of Tlyaratinsky District of the Republic of Dagestan, Russia, located in the west of the republic in a mountainous area and within proximity to the border with Azerbaijan and Georgia. Population: 1,200 (2010 Census);[1] 1,773 (2002 Census);[2] 1,265 (1989 Census).[3]
It is the home of World champion boxer Sultan Ibragimov.
