Tom McArthur (linguist)

Tom McArthur is a British linguist, and editor of English Today.^[1][2] He compiled the Longman Lexicon of Contemporary English^[3] as the first thematic monolingual learner's dictionary, complementing the Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English by bringing together sets of words with related meanings,^[4] and later published an English Language title in the Oxford Companions series.^[5] He has also published paperbacks on the Bhagavad Gita.^[6][7]
