On March 28th, 2016, Miles' wife, Amanda Vance Miles, was arrested at a Belk department store and charged with misdemeanor shoplifting after over $200 worth of jewelry was found in her purse. She was arrested with her aunt, Sheri Prestage, wife of a local constable, who was charged with felony shoplifting when almost $2,000 worth of jewelry was found on her person.[3]
