Thomas B. (Tom) O'Connell (September 26, 1930 – March 20, 2014) was the 18th head college football coach for the Drake University Dragons located in Des Moines, Iowa and he held that position for the 1959 season.^[1] His coaching record at Drake was 2 wins, 7 losses, and 0 ties. This ranks him 21st at Drake in terms of total wins and 23rd at Drake in terms of winning percentage.^[2] O'Connell died in 2014.^[3]
