Wyatt "Tommy" Thomas Tucker, Sr. is a Republican state senator in the state of North Carolina.[1][2] He is co-chairman of the North Carolina Senate's State and Local Government Committee. Senator Tucker has been credited with the statement "I am the Senator, you are the Citizen, you need to be quiet," when responding to a citizen journalist's inquiry on North Carolina's Senatorial Rules and Procedures [3] In 2013 Sen. Tucker came under criticism for helping direct Rural Center funds to the development of a movie theater[4] In 2016 he is facing a primary challenge from Matthew Daly
