Tony De Nunzio CBE is a businessman in the British retail sector. He is chairman of the advisory board of Manchester Business School.[2]
Biography
De Nunzio began his finance career with Unilever and has held executive management and finance positions in the retail and healthcare sectors. He was a non-executive director of Howden Joinery and MFI Group from 2000 to 2007. He was president and CEO at Asda from 2002 to 2005. He was appointed deputy chairman of MFI Retail and non-executive chairman of Maxeda in 2005. In March 2010 he was appointed non-executive chairman of Pets at Home. He was previously a director at PepsiCo and L'Oréal.[3]
De Nunzio was appointed non-executive director at Alliance Boots in 2008[4] and joined Kohlberg Kravis Roberts as a private equity adviser in 2011.[1][2][5] He was awarded the CBE for services to retail in 2005.[3] His son Edward died in 2011 in Courchevel during a night-time prank while training to become a ski instructor, where he was reported to have leapt between chalet rooftops[6] at night whilst drunk.[7]
