Tony Medina (poet)

Tony Medina is an American poet and professor at Howard University.[1] He won the 2010 Patterson prize.[2]

Life

He was born in the South Bronx. He grew up in Throgs Neck. He graduated from Binghamton University, State University of New York.[3]

In 2013, he read at the Schomburg Center.[4] Tony Medina was awarded the Langston Hughes Society Award (2013)from the College Language Association, as well as the first African Voices Literary Award (2013).
