Torn is the second book of the young adult paranormal literature series the Trylle Trilogy.[1] It picks up the story of Wendy Everly and the Trylle that began in Switched.[2]

It was again self-published by Amanda Hocking as an eBook on 12 November 2010.[3]

The second book of the Trylle trilogy finds Wendy growing to resent her role as a princess of the Trylle, a society of beautiful trolls steeped in magic and political intrigue. , while also grappling with a forbidden attraction to the Trylle tracker Finn Holmes and a budding curiosity in Loki, the Vittra prince. The novel also follows the deterioration of her mother Elora's health and her relationship with her daughter.

Hocking has referred to Torn as 'the dark middle child' of the series, citing more mature themes and a darker storyline than the previous novel.
