Total South Africa

Total South Africa, headquartered in Rosebank, South Africa, is an energy company that manufactures and sells a full range of petroleum products to the retail, commercial and industrial markets in South Africa. It is part of the French-based multinational corporation, Total S.A. (Euronext: FP, NYSE: TOT), one of the six "Supermajor" oil companies in the world. Total South Africa has a network of 530 service stations throughout South Africa, and is a key player in the petrochemicals market with products ranging from jet fuel and liquefied petroleum gas to lubricants, greases and kerosene.

Subsidiaries and shareholders

Total South Africa holds a 36.65% share in the Natref Refinery and has wholly owned subsidiaries in Namibia, Botswana, Lesotho and Swaziland. The company's French-based parent holds a 50.1% interest in the South African operation. The remaining shares are held by Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) partner TOSACO (25%) and Remgro (24.9%).

Total South Africa's chairman is Zodwa Manase; Jean-Denis Royere is the chief executive officer.
