Traveller's Rest Pit

Coordinates: 52°13′04″N 0°05′25″E / 52.2179°N 0.0904°E / 52.2179; 0.0904 Traveller's Rest Pit is a Site of Special Scientific Interest, or SSSI[1] in the city of Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom . It is approximately 2.18 hectares in size.

This is a site recognized for its fossiliferous gravels and sediments which are likely to have originated in the Wolstonian Stage of the Pleistocene Period.[2] The site is also adjacent to the offices of the United Nation Environmental Programme's World Conservation Monitoring Centre.
