TripFactory is an online travel company that provides holiday packages for travellers. The company is based in Bangalore, India with offices in the United States and allows packages to be customized based on location and activities.

History

TripFactory was founded by Vinay Gupta and Amit Aggarwal in November 2013.[2] Gupta serves as the Chairman of TripFactory, while Aggarwal serves as CEO. The company was launched with $2 million in seed funding[3] and in its first year of operation sold approximately 4,000 vacation packaged with a gross value of over $2 million.

TripFactory received $10 million in Series A funding in 2015, led by T.V. Mohandas Pai and Ranjan Pai of Aarin Capital Partners. The funding was reported to be used for development of infrastructure, more specifically to connect advisors and agents with travelers.[4] The company reported that funding would also be used to expand internationally.[4] TripFactory is based in India and has offices in the United States.[3]

Services

TripFactory provides vacation packages that can be customized to local travel. It uses an algorithm to help users search for and book customized holiday packages.[5] TripFactory provides real-time customization of holiday packages using search, content, and social recommendations combined on a single platform.[6] TripFactory has over 10,000 vacation packages to over 100 destinations. It also partners with leading hotel chains and airlines such as Jet Airways, Go Air, SpiceJet, and Air Costa.[7]
