Post-competition gala in 2011

The Trophée Éric Bompard (formerly the Grand Prix International de Paris (1987–1993), the Trophée de France (1994–1995), the Trophée Lalique (1996–2003)) is an international, senior-level figure skating competition held as part of the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating series. Medals are awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. Organized by the French Skating Association, the event was first held in 1987 and joined the Grand Prix series in 1995. Although most often held in Paris, the event has also been hosted by three other cities – Albertville in 1991 (as a pre-Olympic event), Lyon in 1994, and Bordeaux in 1995 and 2014.

The event adopted its current name in 2004. It is named after the Éric Bompard company, which has been its chief sponsor since 2004. Previously, it was co-sponsored by both Éric Bompard and the glassware company Lalique.[1]
