Troy Gray (born 26 February 1973) is an Australian television presenter and former Australian Football League (AFL) player. He played with the Sydney Swans and the St Kilda Football Club.
Originally from Canberra, Gray went to Sydney in 1991 and played with the Swans for five league seasons.[1] He kicked four goals against the Brisbane Bears at the SCG in just his third AFL game.[1] His best season was in 1995 when he appeared in 19 of the 22 rounds, playing as a defender.[2] In 1996 the Swans made the grand final but Gray succumbed to injury and played only four games that year, the last in round 17.[1]
Gray was traded to St Kilda after the season ended, in exchange for the 34th pick of the national draft, which was used on Shannon Corcoran.[3] In the opening round of the 1997 AFL season, against Hawthorn, Gray had a career high 22 disposals and kicked two goals.[1] He would however make only eight more appearances for St Kilda.[1]
He has since been involved in television and radio, and presented the sports news on NWS (Channel Nine Adelaide) from 2008 to January 2012.[4]
