Choden represented Bhutan at the 2000 and 2004 Summer Olympic Games. In 2004 she placed 54th in the women's individual ranking round with a 72-arrow score of 600. In the first round of elimination, she faced 11th-ranked Lin Sang of China. Choden upset the heavily favored Lin, winning 159-156 in the 18-arrow match, becoming the first Bhutanese archer ever to win a match at the Olympics and advancing to the round of 32. In that round, Choden faced Reena Kumari of India, losing to the 43rd-ranked archer in a 7-4 tie-breaker after tying at 134 in the regulation 18 arrows. Choden finished 32nd in women's individual archery.[2]

She was chosen to carry the national flag of Bhutan at the opening ceremony of the 2004 Games.

She appears in the 2005 Arte-documentary Die Bogenschützin von Bhutan.[3]

She coached the only Bhutanese archer in the 2012 Olympic Games, Sherab Zam.
