Tsuda College (津田塾大学 Tsudajuku daigaku) is a private women's college in Kodaira, Tokyo. The college was founded in 1900 by Tsuda Umeko as Joshi Eigaku Juku.The name was later changed to Tsuda Eigaku Juku (1933) and then Tsuda Juku Senmon Gakko and finally Tsuda Juku Daigaku (Tsuda College) in 1948. . It remains one of the most prestigious women's institutes of higher education in Japan. It remains one of the most prestigious women's institutes of higher education in Japan. It is the oldest private women's college and has contributed to high education for Japanese women in modern Japan.
