Tufillo Triviño Tulio

Tufillo Triviño Tulio is the main character of the Chilean cartoon series 31 Minutos. He is the anchor of the "most accurate news on television." His voice is performed by Pedro Peirano (creator, director and writer of the series). It is based (to some extent) on journalists Bernardo de la Maza and Fernando Paulsen. He is from the fictional town of Titirilquén.

Personality

He is distracted and eccentric. He has the bad habit of being a compulsive shopper, buying things that will never be useful. He is very egocentric, and finds it difficult to think of anything but himself. The viewing audience considers him a bit stupid, but basically good-hearted. It is said that he took his first steps in Maracaibo, Venezuela, leading to a program on the life of the beetles. Thanks to his friend Juan Carlos Bodoque, he could reach the 31 Minutes news program.

Family

Although it has been revealed he has several family members on more than one occasion, the only ones who have been in the program are his mother and the only daughter of his sister Morticia Felicinda, but a naughty girl named Patricia Ann Tufillo, better known as Patana, who works as a reporter in charge of his uncle. Tulio has never borne a child.

Romantic life

In the early episodes of the program, Tulio showed a marked interest in his colleague Carla Rubio, he was rejected again and again by his cold coworker. Also, at the beginning of the second season his relationship with Cindy Miraflores, (a girl with a small problem with pronunciation, who at first was only considered a summer romance passenger, but who end up in formal, even at long distance as she lives in the remote village of Titiritalca), was made public. He looks at another time during the second season, claiming Tulio because he had told the program she worked on was educational, which was false.

Friendships

Somewhat naively, Tulio seems to regard Juan Carlos Bodoque as his best friend, and knew each other since they were children and even were part of the same Scout group, the Pack Apumanque. Although their relationship is far from perfect, deep down they care for each other.

Beyond that, Tulio is quite friendly with the rest of the staff. Although he is sometimes rather rough with Juanín also seems to have a good friendship with this shy character as many Vaces shouts the phrase "party at Juanin's".
