Turtle Creek Mall is an enclosed shopping mall in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Opened in 1994, it is anchored by Belk, Dillard's, Garden Ridge, JCPenney, Sears, and Stein Mart.
History
The first stores opened at the mall were Dillard's, Gayfers, and Goody's, all of which opened in October 1994. McRae's and JCPenney were added in 1995.[2] By 1999, Turtle Creek Mall was at 100 percent capacity.[3]
The Gayfers was later converted to a second McRae's location. Both were acquired by Belk in 2006, which closed the store in the former McRae's in 2010 and consolidated all operations into the former Gayfers.[4] Goody's closed in 2009 and became Stein Mart in 2011.[5]
