Two-letter English words
Two-letter words in the English language are mainly of interest to those who play word games like Upwords, Snap Attack and Scrabble but they also get the attention of linguists.[1][2][3][4][5][6] Other lists of two-letter words exist and there is no consensus between these lists. The goal of many Scrabble players is to memorize all the two letter words.[7] It is considered the first step in developing the competitive skill that is developed by serious players.[8][9]
There is no consensus on the number of two letter words.[10][11] Other lists of two-letter words exist. Serious Scrabble players memorize 2-letter words that are officially recognized in the Scrabble dictionary.

Two-letter words with valid plural form
Approximately two thirds of two-letter words have a plural form. In some instances adding an ‘S’ changes the entire meaning of the word as in the words ‘as’ and ‘ass’.

A poem has been written to assist those who desire to memorize the 104 two letter words in the dictionary.[13] The list of two letter English words have been called odd and memorization of all the two-letter words in English is claimed to maintain brain function.[14]
