Two Rivers Festival
The Two Rivers Festival was an annual folk music and morris dancing festival held in July in Chepstow, South Wales. The "two rivers" are the River Wye and the River Severn.
The festival started in 2003 as "Folk on the Riverbank", and included free events in the town and concerts inside Chepstow Castle and Chepstow Racecourse. Headline acts have included Kate Rusby in 2007 and Oysterband and The Swanvesta Social Club in 2008. In 2009 the festival was held on 3–5 July, with Seth Lakeman, The Swanvesta Social Club and 3 Daft Monkeys among the acts playing.
It closed due to financial problems and has been replaced by a smaller event of morris dance, the 'widders day of dance' also in July. In 2013 hostng an Italian dance group.
