U.S. Army Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing Course

The United States Army has a program that produces psychiatric/mental health nurses. These nurses are already registered nurses (RNs) who have decided to specialize in this field.[1][2][3]

The school is held at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. twice yearly and produces approximately eight nurses a year. These nurses are then sent forward to other bases.[4]
