UAAP Season 79 will be the 2016–2017 athletic year of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). This season will be hosted by the University of Santo Tomas. The opening schedule is yet to be determined. The theme of this UAAP season is yet to be determined.

The eight-member universities of the UAAP will be competing in fifteen sports to vie for the overall championship.
