University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) School of Medicine is an academic division of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and plans to matriculate students in 2017.[1] The school will grant the Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. The school was officially founded on August 22, 2014 when the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) Board of Regents approved a two year budget.[2] The planning dean is currently securing funding, faculty, and accreditation for the new school.[3] The school plans to use facilities near University Medical Center of Southern Nevada.[4]
