Himig Tomasino

This annual Intercollegiate Choral Competition, organized by the UST-SOCC, is participated by the official chorales representing the different colleges and faculties. The event is usually held in the UST Medicine Auditorium. However, in 2012 it took place at the PhilAm Life Auditorium—the first time it was held outside the campus. In the years 2013 and 2014, the Meralco Theater was chosen to be the venue for the competition. Prior to 2006, a solo-category singing contest was also part of this annual event.

During the competition, each chorale is set to perform the contest piece, arranged by the conductor of the world-renowned UST Singers, Prof. Fidel G. Calalang, Jr. and another piece of their own choice. Aside from the Champion and 1st and 2nd Runners-up, special awards such as "Best in Costume", "Best Conductor" and "Best Interpretation of the Contest Piece" are also decided by the judges while the "People's Choice" is awarded to the participating chorale with the most no. of SMS votes or "Likes" from Facebook.
The event is often graced by a performance from the UST Singers and various other music-oriented groups from the University. In spite of the competition among the college chorales, it has been a tradition that a theme song collaboration, from representatives of each chorale, is presented prior to the announcement of the winners.
Below is a tabulation of the past winners from 2003-2014 and participating chorales.
