Udyog Nagar (Hindi: उद्योग नगर) is a station on the Green Line of the Delhi Metro and is located in the West Delhi district of Delhi. It is an elevated station and was inaugurated on 2nd April 2010. Udyog Nagar Industrial Area is located on the western side. Paschim Vihar and Peeragarhi localities are on the eastern side. Prominent house colonies here are Jwala Puri, Shiv Vihar-Poojary Apartments, Sunder Vihar, Inder Enclave, Defence Apartments, Vindhya Apartments and Tribhuvan Apartments in Bhera Enclave.
There are many market areas in and around the metro station and it is easily accessible by walking or taking rickshaws/autos. Important market areas are Jwala Heri, Jwala Puri no.4 and 5 Markets, Capital Plaza Market near Inder Enclave in Mianwali Nagar, Sunder Vihar GH and DDA Markets, National Market, Peeragarhi Village and Bhera Enclave and Meera Bagh Markets. This area is mainly dominated by Punjabis, Jats and a cluster of wealthy Bengali, Jain and Gujarati families. The renowned editor Mr. Pradeep Chakraborty resides in Shiv Vihar-Poojary Apartments, just half a km away from the station. He has been staying there since 1984.
