Uljana Wolf

Uljana Wolf (born 1979) is a German poet and translator. She studied German literature at Humboldt University. She has published four books of poetry till date. She has received a number of literary awards including the Peter-Huchel-Preis and the Dresdner Lyrikpreis. Her 2009 collection False Friends was translated into English by Susan Bernofsky.

As a translator, Wolf works mainly from English and Polish to German. She is noted for her translation of the Austrian Jewish author Ilse Aichinger. As of 2015, Wolf teaches German at New York University.[1]
